  15. I'm trying to write my own file-based sound effects module and I need to
  16. read and write .aiff or .aifc files in C/C++.

  18. Do you have/know where I can get the source code for this? Failing that,
  19. do you know the file format? Failing that, do you know what other
  20. newsgroups or contacts I could try?

  22. Mail me personally, I'm having trouble with my newsreader at the moment.

  24. I'm using poncey IRIX and it won't let you do anything yourself, it
  25. makes me so mad!!! I'm sure Silicon Graphics are deliberately making it
  26. impossible, with some cryptic encoding or something, just so you have to
  27. buy their software! Grrr...
